Mr. DeGroff holds a Bachelor of Science and Masters in Research Management from Cornell University with advanced studies at the University of California at Berkeley and Davis. He has more than thirty years experience in the development and industrial use of software for the laboratory and batch process manufacturing in the Cosmetics, Pharmaceutical, Nutrient, and Chemical Specialties Industries.

Prior to forming ColorTec in the 1984, and FORMULATOR Software in 2005, Mr. DeGroff held senior positions as development manager and technical consultant in the cosmetic, pharmaceutical, chemical, food and beverage industries.
