Jonathan Shapiro
As CEO of MediaWhiz, Jonathan Shapiro is responsible for setting the company’s strategy and guiding operational execution. He has lead the integration of MediaWhiz’s suite of marketing services, spearheads the development of new and unique capabilities and ensures that the organization can deliver continuously improved results for its performance marketing clients. Prior to joining MediaWhiz as CEO in April of 2007 Jonathan served as President of Lillian Vernon Corp., a multi channel retailer, where he was responsible for the management of the company and its subsidiaries. He led Lillian Vernon through a successful sale to a group of private investors in 2006. Before joining Lillian Vernon, he was Chief Strategy Officer of DoubleClick, where he was in charge of defining corporate strategy and overseeing mergers and acquisitions. Early in his career, Jonathan was the executive in charge of launching United Media's original web businesses (The Dilbert Zone, Snoopy.com and Comics.com), and was a senior consultant with McKinsey & Co. Jonathan is a highly respected industry thought leader and is frequently sought out for his expertise and point of view on key industry topics. He appears regularly on Bloomberg TV and Fox Business and has been published in AdWeek, Chief Marketer, Direct Marketing News, the Huffington Post, and iMediaConnection. Additionally he is a featured blogger on Clickz.com and is a former board member of the IAB. Jonathan is a graduate of the Wharton School of Business at the University of Pennsylvania and earned an MBA from Stanford University.
