Marielle Le Maire was born in 1968 in France and studied chemistry at the ENSCL (Ecole Nationale Superieure de Chimie de Lille-France).

She received her Ph.D in Spectrochemistry from the University of Lille in 1994. Postdoctoral studies at Rhodia-research center in Aubervilliers-France followed.

She began her formulation career in consumer Products Company. She then headed the R&D department at Sarbec Cosmetics for five years. She developed numerous skin care, sun care, baby care products for private Label, selective brands and BtoB. She joined the BU Life Essentials at Symrise-Paris in 2008 as Global Product Director for Cosmetic actives. She is globally responsible for the anti-aging and whitening actives portfolio, supporting innovative ingredients and existing products.
