Dr. Patrick McCarthy, Ph.D.
Dr. Patrick McCarthy has over twenty years high technology experience, eight years management and four years senior management experience within the biotechnology and chemicals sectors. He earned a bachelor's degree in Chemistry from Colorado State University, a doctorate degree in Chemistry from The University of Rhode Island and an MBA from Carnegie Mellon University’s Tepper School of Business.In 2006, Dr. McCarthy founded ATRP Solutions and has been recognized for building one of the top 50 technology companies in Pittsburgh by the Pittsburgh Technology Council with two TECH 50 finalist awards in the rising star (2009) and advanced manufacturing (2010) categories. Most recently, he was recognized by the Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) during a ceremony in Washington DC as a contributor to the 2009Presidential Green Chemistry Award. Dr. McCarthy has over 25 scientific publications, 4 book chapters and 12 patents. He is currently serving as President of ATRP Solutions, a growing company with novel polymer synthesis technology leading to superior rheological, sensory and delivery system potential.
