Ryan joined Encore Consumer Capital in 2007. He is an active Director of Isopure, PhillySwirl and Zuke's and is responsible for transaction structuring, portfolio management and new deal origination. Prior to joining Encore, Ryan worked for TSG Consumer Partners (formerly The Shansby Group), where he helped manage portfolio companies and conducted diligence in the retail and consumer sectors. Ryan also worked for Bain Capital's private equity group and evaluated opportunities in the healthcare and retail sectors, and The Boston Consulting Group, where he supported companies in a variety of industries, including industrial manufacturing, financial services, and retail. He earned a dual B.A. from Duke University, where he graduated cum laude with High Distinction in Public Policy and Psychology, and an M.B.A. from the Stanford University Graduate School of Business. He currently serves on the board of Summit Preparatory Charter High School, a charter school in Redwood City, CA.
