Sonya Tarnow Brown is a Principal with Summit Partners, a growth equity firm that invests in rapidly growing companies. Prior to Summit, Sonya worked for iXL Enterprises, Equity Residential Properties Trust, and Bear, Stearns & Co.

Based in Summit’s Boston office, Sonya is active in the firm’s investment activities in North America, Europe and Asia. Her current and past board directorships and investments include Aramsco, Central Security Group, Physicians Formula Holdings (NASDAQ: FACE), Snap Fitness and Sparta Systems.

Sonya holds a BS from Northwestern University and an MBA from Harvard Business School. In addition, she is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Sonya is a member of the Women’s Association of Venture and Equity, the Association of Corporate Growth and the Boston Security Analysts Society. She is a frequent panelist at Harvard Business School conferences.
